Luci Porchietto nació en Sunchales, provincia de Santa Fe, en 1978. Estudió Letras en la Facultad de Humanidades y Arte de Rosario. Colaboró para diversas revistas de crítica literaria y durante algunos años también se desempeñó como docente.
Desde 2005 vive en Buenos Aires, donde trabaja como guionista de ficción, documentales y reality shows. Escribió Que se llame Rosa, su primera novela publicada, en el año 2001, y siguió corrigiéndola hasta la actualidad.
